Great local stop on 97. Stopped here on a drive through the Lava Beds and very satisfied with what I got. We got a perfect BLT, fully dressed burger, amazing potato salad (very creamy) and Macaroni salad (contains olives). There's a small staff so food prep took time but it was well worth the wait. The veggies on the (greasy) burger were thoroughly caramelized. Quirky decor inside (there is taxidermy displayed, by the way), clean bathrooms, and free WiFi. It's all I hope for in a small town stop over. Next time we'll get pastries, too.

My family and I were driving to the Lava Beds National Monument and decided to stop to get some food... we were misled by the good reviews. The employees are very rude and the food was not good... overall, my family is not happy with our visit at all.

The Philly Cheese Steak was super salty; my family members are currently forcing it down their mouths because they do not want to waste food. The Reuben sandwich was too greasy... I could taste the grease with every bite.

As for the service, my family would ask questions about their menu and we were given rude, half assed answers.

We were so hungry... and food generally 'tastes better' when you're hungry... however, the food still tasted bad.

Great stop for lunch. Chicken salad sandwich was the best and side of German potato salad over the top. Ya gotta stop here !
    Bestest in town.

Anybody who gives this less than a 5 is useless. The girls make eye contact and tackle lines that look long in moments. The setting is large enough to sit comfortably and have a private conversation. So remember if theres a line these guys are worth the wait. Exactly how id hoped a coffee shop would be in Shasta. Loooooooove them!! Cant wait to go back!

This place is on my way to National lava bed monument so we stop by to take out lunch.  We ordered turkey wrap, corn beef sandwich.  Both come with soup of the day or salad, or fries.  We tried macaroni salad and soup.  Total costs about $20.  Everything tastes good.
